Alphaphobia

At lunch today Mikey said to me, "Travis is afraid of the letter 'A.'"

"Uh ... what do you mean by that?" [That was completely out of the blue.]

"Travis won't climb on the big letter 'A' with me."

I give him a funny look. [What on Earth is he talking about?]

"You know, the big letter 'A' where you climb up by the thing that goes really fast."

Yet another funny look from me.

Then, it suddenly dawns on me.

The end of the swingset looks like a big letter "A."

Mikey is not afraid of the letter "A," but apparently Travis hasn't warmed up to it yet. Perhaps we should start calling him Tr-vis.
