Tee-Ball

Last summer, the boys played on a soccer team together. Travis loved it, but Mikey's anxiety got the best of him, and he would never go out and play. But, this year it was a whole different story! Travis loved it right off the bat (lovely baseball pun, eh? - I'll just pat myself on the back for that one) ... and Mikey warmed up really fast. I'd call it a successful summer sports experience!! And, now Charlotte can't wait for next year when she's old enough to play - she has even asked specifically for a pink baseball mitt.

Travis running to get the ball:

A moment of anxiety:
Followed quickly by happiness after successfully catching the ball (don't be too hard on the lady in the green and white shorts who walked in front of the picture - there are always parents taking pictures at these games, so you just have to get past as fast as you can):

Waiting for their first turn at bat (notice Charlotte and me in the background, right in the middle behind Travis' head - she's giving me a huge hug):
Travis' first swing ... which connected!! (It looks like Travis forgot the front of his Darth Vader helmet ... hardy har, but seriously, you'd think they could find some smaller batting helmets when the league is for 3-5 year olds.)
Mikey's first swing connected, too ... and he took the bat with him all the way to first base:
